Switching subscriptions with Variable Subscriptions

May 1, 2018 11:09 am

I have set up the ability for users to sign up to either Basic, Pro or Premium subscriptions. In return they get points per month which is fine.
But Woocommerce offers the ability to switch subscriptions and this feature i missing from my users page because only Variable subscriptions from WooCommerce Subscriptions allow for switching.

This is an issue because it appears Woo Credits only seems to work within Simple Subscriptions?

I know that you’ve set up If a user signs up for a basic subscription, how are they meant to upgrade or downgrade?

I saw you mentioned in January you were going to offer this ability, but I can’t find it?

  • Further to my previous message. The next issue I have is that if i want to add a pricing table to display the 3 options, I add the short codes from the Woo Credits section but then If i click Buy Now, on the pricing table it links to directly buying tokens rather than subscribing.
This feature is good because it takes the users DIRECTLY to the checkout which is what I want, but it doesnt allow users to buy subscriptions but rather tokens only. I don’t want users to be able to buy tokens other than in the subscription.
    I hope i’ve made sense..

  • Thank you for the post. We have posted screen below, showing where to assign Credit Bundles to Variable subscriptions. Please let us know if this answers your question.

    Woo Credits and Woo Subscriptions

For the buy_credits shortcode, it is currently limited to directly purchasing Credit Bundles by themselves (not attached to subscriptions).

Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you!
